The Sunshine Harvester Works building, on the corner of Beach and James streets, was the Fremantle distribution warehouse for the Melbourne manufactory of the same name. It was for a few years until 2026 a collection of bars, food trucks, and a distillery.
The rear part of the building, up the hill, has been converted into apartments.
Opposite Sunshine Harvester Works across James Street is the Robert Jowitt and Sons Warehouse, and across Beach Street is the Beach Street Pumping Station.
In 1909 Sunshine established their first Western Australian factory in North Fremantle (in "the buildings until recently occupied by Messers J.M. Ferguson and Co").[1]
