James Paratore is a doctor, fisherman, and historian. President of the W.A. Fishers' Lost at Sea Memorial Association.[2]

Dr. James Paratore completed his medical degree at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle in 2016. Prior to his medical studies, he worked as a pharmacist in various parts of WA and the UK. Dr. Paratore completed his Masters of Public Health from the University of Sydney in 2018, and completed his internship and residency at Fiona Stanley and Fremantle Hospital. He achieved Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners’ and has ongoing involvement with the GP training program.
