The History Buffs is a group of Fremantle history enthusiasts who meet regularly at the Fremantle Fremantle Buffalo Club. It is a subcommittee of the club, formed in November 2024 by Daniel Elias, David O'Sullivan, and Alex Patching. The main work of the History Buffs was initially around going through the Club's archives: housing, describing, digitising, and researching the contents and adding it to Freopedia. In 2026 they expanded their attention to all Fremantle-related topics.

- Dead Merch Fair history exhibit, December 2024.
- In late 2025 over 100 items had been catalogued.
- Fremantle Fenians' History Symposium 2026 (Friday, March 27).
- Presentation to the Fremantle History Society monthly meeting in June 2026.
