The City of Fremantle is divided into four wards: North, Central, Coastal, and East.
Prior to 2023, there were six wards: Beaconsfield, South, East, City, North, and Hilton.[1]
Coastal | Central | East | North
As at the beginning of 2023, there were six wards in the local government area called the City of Fremantle. The boundaries are adjusted when necessitated by changes in population density to provide equal vote value. In October 2023, the number of wards was reduced to four, to accommodate the changes require by the fiat of the state government which will also reduce the number of councillors from twelve to eight. (The process won't be complete until the 2025 election.) The new wards are Central, Coastal, East, and North.
