Maylands Church of Christ

1956, Eighth Avenue, Maylands, 1956

The church is now calling itself simply Maylands Church. The church's Foundation Stone was laid by Mrs C. Brown on 24th March 1956. (Thank you, Mingor.)
According to its website, the church nearly disappeared in 2014, and was only saved by finding a new ministering couple from New York, Ronnie and Christa.

My cousin Cynthia Reudavey was married to Don Wright here in 1965. He was also baptised here by full immersion, as was the practice at that time, in a bath at the western end of the church.
