Boya Quarry - sometimes known as O'Connor's Quarry for materials needed for North Mole construction after the Rocky Bay material proved inadequate for the purpose

The material about O'Connor's frustration with the material from Rocky Bay suggests that the delegation to go fetch some proper rock was urgent and the evidence of railway documents of the time is the trains carrying the rock from Boya to Fremantle were very regular and worked hard to move the material.

More recent names for the quarry have been Government Quarry and Hudman Road Quarry It is south of the former railway line, (now a cycling and walking trail) and not to be confused with the Mountain Quarry on the north side.
