The Wasamba Carnival Drummers is a drumming group based in Fremantle (and Broome) that was established in 2003.
They rehearse at the Fremantle PCYC in Paget Street, Hamilton Hill.
From their website:[1]
Wasamba Carnival Drummers is a vibrant, high-energy community percussion band with groups based in Perth and Broome, Western Australia. We blend the dynamic rhythms of Afro-Brazilian samba with the colour and creativity of Mardi Gras-style performance. Founded in 2003, we have grown into one of WA’s most beloved performance troupes, bringing joyful, interactive drumming experiences to audiences of all ages.
Based on the premise that everyone can drum, Wasamba is inclusive at its core. No musical experience is necessary and you can start drumming at any age, any time.
