The Original town lots were surveyed by J.S. Roe in 1829.

All of the buildings in this part of Henry Street, Lots 64-72, are occupied (if not also owned) by the University of Notre Dame Australia.

The earliest owner of Lots 69-71 known to Hitchcock (1929) was John Morrell, who arrived 18 October 1831 on the Eliza with his wife Mary Ann and children. [[../people/morrellmaryann|Mary Ann]]'s is said to be the first gravestone in the first cemetery, at Alma Street. She died 8 October 1832.
