Era was a newspaper that was published in Fremantle in 1868, by George Barrow. He worked as Lionel Samson's accountant, and in his spare time worked on Era.
A defining feature of the newspaper was that it was printed using lithography, and so was entirely hand-written (in Barrow's copperplate script). It sold for six pence.
Era did not last very long: Barrow ceased publication the following year (1869).[1][2]
