William Street Perth

William Street Perth is named for William IV (reigned 1830-37), who looks a complete dork in this ridiculous out-of-proportion painting in which he is more than a little over-dressed. >

The photograph below was taken from the walkway next to the level crossing over the railway line, with Wellington Street crossing the foreground, looking up the hill towards Hay Street and on to the Swan River.
