Mosman Park Street Names
Neither historians nor the Town of Mosman Park seem to have got together a list of street names with their origins, so I'll just note the one or two I am aware of – until someone does the job properly.
McCabe Street. John McCabe was Secretary to the East Fremantle Football Club and Mayor of North Fremantle from 1924 to 1931.
Buckland Avenue etc. According to the Town of Mosman Park, Buckland Hill was named by James Stirling in honour of William Buckland, Dean of Westminster, theologian and palaeontologist.
Tasker Place, Mosman Park. Roland 'Rolly' Leslie Tasker (1926-2012) was one of the greatest competitive yachtsmen in Australia. He operated a sailmaking business from the site for forty years.
