Ruth Letts OAM was an Executive Director of Nursing, Midwifery, and Patient Services in the Fremantle Hospital and Health Service from 2001-2016 and a Member of the Austalian College of Nursing form 1997-2020.[3] After retiring (in 2016) she founded the Fremantle Hospital Museum.
In 2013 she was a recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award in the Western Australian Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards.
On 25 January 2021 she received the Medal of the Order of Australia for services to nursing.[4]
