The Power Magazine was a gunpowder magazine at Woodman Point, also referred to as being at Owen's Anchorage.
Construction contemplated in 1851, by which time it had "long been required".[1]
In 1903 it exploded, resulting in the death of the magazine's caretaker Thomas Whelan.[2]
