William Samson
William Samson arrived on the Calista with his brother Lionel. He married Mary Pace, Walter's daughter, in 1840. They left for South Australia in 1846.

Chd. Elizabeth b. 1841, WaIter b. 1843, Jane Maria b. 1845, dtr. b. 1847 (SA), dtr. b. 1848 (SA), Lionel Frank b. 1852 d. 1882 (SA). He visited Capetown per Cornwallis, dep. 2.1833 & arr. 6.1833. He visited Eastern colonies 10.1836 per Truelove & returned 8.1838. Appointed Govt. Auctioneer at Frem 1830. Director of Bank of Australasia in 1841 & was appointed JP 1841 (1st Jewish JP in Australia). Member of Exec. Council 1844. With his family he dep. 12.1846 per Joseph Albino for SA where they settled.
