John Mitchell (1)
A John Mitchell, soldier in the 63rd Regiment, has the dubious distinction of being the first person interred in the East Perth Cemetery, in 1830, by Archdeacon Thomas Scott. His symptom was described as dropsy (oedema), but the underlying cause is not stated.
