Francis McDonald (1860-1938) was Mayor of East Fremantle 1900–1901 (or 1903?)

He was a storekeeper, born in Scotland, who married twice. He and his first wife, Minnie McLeod, had two sons and four daughters. His second wife was Lucy McDonald, who died in 1938. Francis came to WA from NSW in 1892 and established a business in Fremantle. He was on the East Fremantle Council, Mayor from 1900 to 1901, and Member (Liberal) of the Legislative Assembly for Cockburn Sound from April 1901 to April 1904. After 1904 he became a farmer at Beverley. Fremantle Library text with 1900 photo #3809.
