The Browns at Fernhurst
Father and mother of Coral Browne, Leslie Brown and wife Victoria (Vic/Vicky) walking from the entrance of their c.1931-1946 home 'Fernhurst'. The print is inscribed on the back in Vicky's handwriting: 'Vic Les & dog'.
The house was at 13 Fernhurst Grove, Kew, and had been left to Leslie by a wealthy aunt.
Victoria Brown sitting on the steps of 'Fernhurst'. The print is inscribed on the back in Vicky's handwriting: 'Last of "Fernhurst" March 1946'. 'Last photo'? I'm guessing that this means they left that house then, for reasons unknown to me. The moved to a smaller house, tho still in Kew, at 22A Pakington St.
