Owen Connor
img/connorlot.jpgOwen Connor was a member of the Enrolled Pensioner Force who arrived in Fremantle on the Mermaid in 1851. Thanks to Diane Oldman's research, we know that he was allocated the very first of the pensioners lots allocated in North Fremantle, P1, on the corner of what would be Swan and De Lisle Streets when they were laid down. [[img/connorlot.jpg|]]The site is now beneath the easternmost shed on North Wharf: De Lisle Street barely exists, being only the driveway into the Railway Hotel, while Swan Street similarly terminates just at the back of the Swan Hotel.
