John Cattalini and his brother Mim were born in Italy and came to settle in Spearwood with their mother and father, Amelia and Bruno. John went on to study pharmacy and set up a business in Fremantle. He married Pamela Russell and they had seven children. John was a well known Fremantle identity and was Mayor of the City of Fremantle for 12 years. We believe his pharmacy was the one at 197 High Street (now 'Greg's'). He was mayor 1984–1994.[1]
