John Bick
John Alfred Bick was a member of the first North Fremantle Municipal Council in 1895. He was publican of the Swan Hotel (North Fremantle) in 1888, purchased the property in 1892, and continued to operate the hotel himself until 1895. In August 1891 he purchased portions of Swan Location 130, Lots 10 and 11, with frontage to Harvest Road, North Fremantle. Lot 11 would form part of the future site of Hillcrest Hospital in North Fremantle. Bick was married to Harriet Caroline Bick (1842-1917). They had three children: Clara Mary, Ellen and Henry John.
