(Redirected from Abrugiato family)

Frank and Nella Abrugiato opened the Roma restaurant at 9 High Street in about 1940. Now the Roma Cucina, it is still trading. There was a temporary change of ownership to Nunzio Gumina until he opened his own restaurant, Nunzio's, in Essex Street.

From the Roma Cucina website:

The Story Continues. The iconic family story started over fifty years ago by Frank & Nella opens a new chapter. Daughter Lucy and her husband Terry have brought back the same family values and classic Italian dining that called the West End home for so many, many years.

The name Abrugiato appears on the top of the facade of the Atlas building, around the corner in Cliff Street. It is not yet clear why.
