McCabe Street is sometimes thought of as the northern border of Fremantle, but actually the border is to the north of the old pipe factory (i.e. the southern side of Buckland Hill Estate). McCabe Street is named after John McCabe who was Mayor of North Fremantle from 1924 to 1931, and Secretary to the East Fremantle Football Club.
