The Fremantle Ladies' Cycling Club was a cycling club established on 15 March 1897,[2] and was the first of its kind in Western Australia.[1]
In June, a monthly meeting was held at the Congregational Schoolroom. Secretary was Jessie F. Smith, with vice-presidents E. Solomon (the Mayoress), A.B. Kidson, T.M. Quinn, F. Connor, J. Pearse, and B. Fysh.[2]
A social evening was held at the Temperance Hall to mark the first quarter of the club's activities.[2] The music was supplied by Mr Clough and party.[3]
