John D. Moss was a solicitor in Fremantle in 1920,[1] when he helped establish the Buffalo Club.
His parents were Joseph Moss and Esther Moss (née Lewis).
The Daily News, 1920 November 17:[2]
The Fremantle Mayoralty.— Mr. John David Moss, solicitor of Fremantle, has entered his nomination paper as a candidate for election to the office of Mayor of Fremantle, and will open his campaign this evening at 7.30 o'clock at the Davilak Hotel, and at 8.30 o'clock at the Oddfellows' Hotel. Other meetings are advertised elsewhere.
He lived in Leonora.[3]
He died aged 63[4] in 1935, by which time he was living at 47 Victoria Avenue, Claremont.[3] He is buried at Karrakatta Cemetery.[3]
