James McHenry Clark was mayor of the Municipality of Fremantle from late 1898 to 1899.
He died in a firearms accident in Kojanup on 2 May 1908.[1]
He was buried at Fremantle Cemetery (where his death date is given as 3 May),[2] in the same plot as Bessie his wife who predeceased him in 1903.[3]
Clark Street was named in his honour (which may be the present-day Clarke Street).[4]
