Holdsworth Street is an urban street with mostly commercial properties as well as some residential at the east end. It starts at Stirling Street and runs downhill, over Parry Street, to end past the Magitrates' Court where it connects to the intersection of Queen Street and Henderson Street.
It was originally called Doonan Street after Joseph Doonan, but was renamed to Holdsworth in 1908 because of the similarity of the earlier name with Douro Road.[1]
