Girton House is a two-storey residence near the high point of Ellen Street, at number 75. It was built in 1890.

Residence built for himself by Ewald Ulrich. After 1914 it was acquired by the C of E to house the headmistress, her deputy and the boarders of Girton College, aka the former (boys) Fremantle Grammar School.

The name Girton is from the 1948 Cambridge women's college - now coed.
