George James Bostock (1833–1881) arrived in the Swan River Colony on board the Gloucester on 20 April 1860. He was Chairman of the Fremantle Board of Education in 1870, and left the colony in 1875 due to ill health.
Bostock Street in White Gum Valley is named after him.[1]
