Friend Street is one of the newest streets in Fremantle, part of the Knutsford Street development on land that used to belong to the maritime museum. It runs from Blinco Street in the north to Knutsford Street in the south, and is slightly meandering and has community facilities such as a barbecue area. It is named after Mary Ann Friend (the name was approved by the Geographic Names Committee in 2019).[1]
