Convict-Built Walls on Attfield Street

There is fifty metres or so of convict-built wall in what used to be Attfield Street before it became an internal hospital access road (which you can still drive up and down).

This (above) is the Alma Street end of a convict-built wall which used to extend up what was formerly Attfield Street, possibly as far as Fothergill Street. It now terminates about one-third of the way up.

This is the next, very substantial section of convict-built wall extending up the former Attfield Street. This side of it is in almost original condition; the other has mortared over (if that's the correct term).

A closer view of the same.
