The Australian Wool Testing Authority (AWTA) was the federal Statutory Authority responsible for wool testing in Australia. It was established in 1957, and privatised in 1982 (continuing to perform the same function).[1] They have two laboratories in Australia, in Melbourne and Perth, and the Perth one was until the late-2000s located in the sheds on Marine Terrace (running through to South Terrace).

Their current address is 38 Clark Court, Bibra Lake.

Sign on the South Terrace frontage in 2010.
