Andrew Forrest companies operating in Fremantle include Tattarang, Fiveeight, and the Minderoo Foundation. They own the [[../hotels/p&o.html|P&O]] and [[../hotels/orient.html|Orient]] hotels and the site of the former [[../buildings/brockhoff.html|Brockhoff]] and [[../buildings/detmold.html|Detmold]] buildings, at the corner of [[../streets/william.html|William]] and [[../streets/henderson.html|Henderson]] Streets, where they propose a six-storey, 117-room boutique hotel—a $35 million project including basement parking, shops, and a rooftop terrace with swimming pool. The hotel will be in a U-shape with a large courtyard.
If the plans are approved, construction will commence in 2023 and the hotel would be ready to welcome visitors by 2025.
