The Federal Coffee Palace building at 10 Henry Street has been the home of Lance Holt School since 1974.[1] It is on Town Lot 78, and was built in 1892 by Philip Webster. He died a year later.
According to the City of Fremantle heritage register,[2] the building was Adams Electric and the Port Printing Works in the 1950s and '60s. It was purchased by the Council in 1972, Lance Holt leased it from 1973 (they moved in in 1974, and bought it from the Council in 1985 for $120,000).
It was added to the Register of the National Estate in October 1980, classified by the National Trust in November 2000, and added to the State Heritage Register in 2004.
